The Community Support Foundation is busy growing and building on the legacy of giving begun in 1999 by the Nelson County Education Endowment Fund. That independent, non-profit fund made its first awards in August 2001. Since then it has raised and distributed many thousands of dollars in the form of scholarships and grants to enhance, enrich and supplement student learning. This support has been a critical part of the academic growth and success of the Nelson County Schools.
Reorganized and renamed, the Nelson County Schools Community Support Foundation is busy growing from those previous successes.
